Trinity Church, Galashiels

Following the union of two former congregations (St Ninian’s and St Aidan’s) to form Trinity Church, the congregational board wished to explore options for adaptation and modernisation of one building for flexible use by the united and larger congregation, and for disposal of the other (both B-listed).

The preferred scheme for the former St Ninian’s includes sensitive alterations and refurbishment of the existing listed church building to form a flexible and welcoming worship space and a modernised church hall, with associated multi-purpose spaces, café area, new kitchen, office and ancillary accommodation, and improved access.

A detailed condition survey also identified a necessary scheme of external fabric repairs.

Project value £407,896.
