Ancrum Village Hall

The existing Hall was increasingly proving to be inadequate for purpose. A feasibility study and options appraisal determined the optimum scheme for altering and extending the building to provide improved multi-purpose accommodation to meet current and future community needs.

Our experience with Lottery and Community Fund grant applications enabled the Committee to get the best out of the community consultation exercise, and to maximise the chances of success in obtaining funding. Consultations included public meetings to ensure the views of a cross section of the community were taken into account in finalising the proposals, and the final cost was tailored to ensure that this was contained within the limited grant scheme threshold.

Contract value £75,588.
