Our practice was first established in Galashiels in 1963 by Duncan Cameron, who for a time had worked with renowned Borders-based architect Peter Womersley.  Duncan Cameron was also instrumental in setting up Eildon Housing Association, who remain one of our many long-standing clients.

Our Galashiels office is a Peter Womersley creation, built for the former Sanderson & Murray Skinworks, which closed in 1980.

Our high proportion of repeat clients is evidence of client satisfaction (we still receive commissions from our very first client), while the quality of our work has been recognised through a number of awards over the years, most recently the Scottish Borders Council Rural New-Build Award 2011.

While our services have been provided successfully on projects throughout the length and breadth of Scotland including the Western Isles, and increasingly in Northern Ireland and the north of England, our home base continues to be Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, the Lothians and Fife, where our Edinburgh and Galashiels offices provide an efficient and personal service as an integral part of the regional community and economy.

In line with our practice approach and development we have established an in-house professional health and safety department over the last 12 years, which continues to provide an independent consultancy service, while supporting our architectural services as required.
